Left must form socialist government

Today is a very historic day for socialism and the Left in Irish politics as the parties of the right have been thrashed at the polls by the voters who have been the victims of austerity by Fine Gael and the Labour Party who are screwing us for water charges and property tax.

But I am concerned by the comeback of Fianna Fáil, that other right-wing party that was first to bring hard times on us in 2008.

I hope that the Left will remind the voters of this in the next two years leading up to the next general election in 2016 as it’s no good replacing one right-wing monster with another right-wing monster who would continue to screw us with austerity as nothing changes in the tweedledee tweedledom merry go round.

If Sinn Féin wins many seats in the next Dáil it is my hope that they won’t go into government with any of the right-wing parties for to do so would water down their social agenda and they would get corrupted like the Labour Party and would go down the same road as the Greens did and Labour.

It must be in the long-term plans of all left-wing politicians to form a socialist government and end civil war politics and create class politics as is the norm of the rest of Europe.

We need a government that will tell Brussels and the Germans we are not paying a bill that’s not ours to pay, that would stand up to the bullies of the EU and IMF.

The membership of the Labour Party must get rid of their leaders, go back to their socialist roots and apologise to the voters for their leaders’ betrayal of the voters who elected, and realign themselves with parties of the Left and walk out of government and force a general election to rid us of this heartless government that has rode rough shot over us for the last three and a half years

Will Gerry Adams and Richard Boyd Barrett, if in the government, be like the government of Iceland and tell the EU, IMF they won’t pay another cent to them as you can’t get blood out of a stone — and these foreign blood suckers have got enough from us, but no more. The Irish people need money to buy food and pay the bills.
