Flight costs sky high

Got a message from Aer Lingus saying the strike on Friday is on, so I can change my flight.

Look to do so but (as well as extra costs for more expensive flights), they are charging €40 per person for the right to change the flight, even though it’s their fault. The flights were for a significant birthday, now in ruins. They can blame the union, but this profiteering makes Ryanair look friendly.
