A herd of bison is in for a surprise as it is offloaded in the remote Tarcu Mountains in the southern Carpathian region of Romania.

The huge animals, once native to the area, died out 200 years ago and the habitat has been suffering as a result because they are an essential part of the ecosystem according to the World Wildlife Fund.
