Can’t tax the humour

I recently returned from an always pleasant visit to Cork City but this time I was chagrined by the cost of living the working people must endure.

Between the high payroll tax, road tax, petrol tax, television tax, vat tax, and soon to be water rates I admire the work ethic of those individuals who continue at their jobs when the easy way would be to drop out of the work force and let the government support their families. One thing that still exists is the Cork City wit and sense of humour. They are the greatest!
