Make vote count over Cobh road condition

Fifty-one years ago a bus floated on the Fota Road bringing workers to Verolme Cork Dockyard during a gale, since the road has deteriorated and is an eyesore with crumbling walls.

Make vote count over Cobh road condition

Slatte Bridge on the Fota Road had to be under pinned twice in the past five years, and can be seen on the left of the bridge going towards Cork.

Cobh will not get the Container Terminal from Tivoli to be sited at the old IFI plant due to the condition of Fota Road today.

People going to work are at risk if any of the two bridges collapse. Also the liner trade business could be pulled from Cobh.

I would urge Cobh people not to vote for present Government party councillors in the County Election, to send a message for the next General Election. Cobh electorate want a new road now to secure our future prospects.
