Making splash over water

RTÉ has received quite a bit of criticism from the public recently for one thing or another, but I was rather amused today listening to Joe Duffy taking calls from listeners about water charges and problems with paying this tax.

One caller suggested voting for Sinn Féin as an alternative, and I thought for a minute Joe had been stung by a wasp.

He immediately went into a very hasty explanation about Labour’s false promises in the past regarding water charges, and that Europe are forcing these charges and nothing can be done about it.
