Harassment of McCabe must be stopped

Newspaper reports indicate continuing harassment/intimidation of Sergeant Maurice McCabe.

If the Government and senior Garda officers are serious about ending “inappropriate” behaviour within the Force they must immediately put an end to the ongoing harassment/intimidation of Sgt McCabe.

The Taoiseach must act immediately in this matter. District and divisional officers must be held responsible and accountable for any further action against Sgt McCabe.

He must be allowed full access to all facilities within the Force, available to all members. Perhaps a special Act of the Oireachtas can be passed, to promote Sgt McCabe to the rank of superintendent and appoint him to deal with complaints from within An Garda Síochána.
