Nuclear safety option

Congratulations on the Winds of Change spread (Irish Examiner, April 7) — the start of sensible discussion on a topic that affects every Irish resident.

However, apart from two passing mentions of nuclear energy, it would appear that this most efficient and safe form of energy creation is being overlooked. Why are Irish leaders ignoring this option? Hopefully, part two of Wind of Change, (the correct MacMillan quote), will deal with this.
