Ukraine crisis - Huge concern

Escalating events in Ukraine are a cause for great concern and have the potential to have a direct impact on our lives, especially if sanctions are imposed on energy-rich Russia.

They also underline how impotent the international community is in the face of what seems to be the second and third steps in the recolonisation of Ukraine. Russia rejected charges of involvement but warned Kiev against any use of force.

The concern provoked by this claim and counter claim is exacerbated by the sense of déjà vu around it and the perception Russia believes its relative might puts it on the right side of history.
