Since 1823 the US has maintained the Monroe doctrine, which prohibits non-American interference on the American continent, north and south.

So much for Monroe

So America’s attitude regarding Ukraine seems hypocritical.

There are still thousands of US troops ‘occupying’ Germany and Japan since the end of World War II, and the Cold War. American troops are still occupying Guantanamo Bay against the wishes of the Cuban people and government.
