Are we an Eirgrid experiment?
EirGrid are embarking on a huge scale study of the health effects of EMF, (Electromagnetic Fields), from high voltage power lines to finally put an end to the worldwide argument and using the population of Ireland as guinea pigs.
My reasoning is as follows:
Observation: There appears to be a link between cancer and EMF from high voltage power lines.
Hypothesis: If we can set up a large scale experiment we can test this in Ireland.
Experimental Procedure: We will use the bad planning of the Irish government to allow the huge number of one-off housing in the Irish countryside as our sample area.
The people living in these areas will be from a large age group and socio-economic backgrounds thus removing any influence from genetic factors and the influence of wealth, making it a fair test.
We will place one corridor option a few hundred metres from the largest secondary school in West Waterford to have a large sample of the children/ teenagers that are allegedly the most at risk from these EMFs. We will use propaganda to ensure that the test subjects are unaware of our true intent. To achieve this we will tell all the politicians that the upgrade of the current network is to ‘keep the lights on’ and that this ‘necessary infrastructural development’ will be required for ‘more jobs and to attract industry’.
But the people of Ireland will not allow this to happen. We refuse to become test subjects for Eirgrid’s experiment. No matter what our backgrounds, we are unanimously opposed to this development.
So when politicians come knocking at your door over the next few months – ask them what their stance is on this development.
We will not be won over by the overground and underground Mickey Mouse commission – another propaganda stunt. The only option is a complete review of the National Renewable Energy Action Plan with a full cost benefit analysis of all renewable options.
