Our water is precious

Our Irish Water project has been compared by some to the Rural Electrification Scheme of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Even Phil Hogan might agree with that — but only in so far as it is distribution of a national utility.

Our water is precious

After that, there is no comparison whatsoever. Mankind survived for thousands of years when there was no artificial light. Without water, however, not just humanity but all forms of life would be non-existent. !

Of all State and semi-State utility services, Irish Water is the one that is truly sacred. No messing should be tolerated. It’s not Watergate or Moneygate that counts but giving priority to the efficient production of life’s most essential product.
