It’s about time the judiciary had a wake-up call. A man who downloaded images of children being raped and sexually abused will be free to resume his depraved hobby in a couple of years.

Our judiciary needs a wake-up call

While in prison he will get every type of pre-release therapy, won’t have the worry of a heating, light, or accommodation bill. He will have his TV, radio, hot shower, warm blankets. Where is the deterrent? There is none, plain and simple.

In my opinion these people should get sentences of five to 10 years, depending on the severity of the offence.
