Spot-on, Quinnie

Fair play to Alan Quinlan on RTÉ for criticising crucial decisions against Munster by referee Alain Rolland in the Jan 3 game against Ulster at Ravenhill, despite the presenter interrupting.

Spot-on, Quinnie

Alan did point out that Ulster probably did deserve to win and his criticism should not take away from that fact, however, Mr Rolland’s decisions did damage Munster’s chances.

With the referee, his two linesman and the TMO now being the most influential aspect in deciding the outcome of rugby matches it is only fair that they should face the same amount of scrutiny and criticism as the players and coaches.
