Stagg’s plumber figures don’t hold water

I refer to the article about Emmet Stagg by Shaun Connolly (Irish Examiner, Dec 17) ‘€97k TD: I’d make more as a plumber’.

When I googled the pay rates of plumbers in Ireland, this is a sample of what turned up:

* Salary: €9 ph, other benefits: fully expensed company vehicle, 30 days holidays.

* €11.05 — €24.83 ph.

* €21,453 — €51.52 pa.

Could Emmet Stagg, TD, publicly announce where there are vacancies for €97k plumbers?
