Faith in people’s generosity restored

I always have great faith in the generosity of people. This faith was enhanced by an experience I had on Thursday, Dec 12.

Faith in people’s generosity restored

At around 6.30 pm I was driving from Blarney to Monkstown in Co Cork, when I encountered a vicious pothole whose existence was obscured by approaching car lights. The puncture didn’t manifest itself until I found myself in the centre lane of the South Ring Road, hemmed in by heavy home-bound traffic.

Seeing my plight, the following traffic allowed me to gradually pull towards the hard shoulder on the left side. By the time I came to a halt the offending tyre no longer existed.
