I am writing this letter to tell the Taoiseach exactly how it would affect me and upset my parents if he doesn’t return my medical card.

Sometimes when I don’t feel well, my mum or dad have to take me to the doctor and I end up in hospital. I would be scared if my parents were not able to do this because I don’t like feeling sick and because of my Down Syndrome I can’t always tell them how I am feeling.

My mum said that she had to take me to the doctor 22 times last year and each time had to get me medicine to get me better.
