We need a rebel yell and leader with backbone

The takeover of Newbridge Credit Union by PTSB is the beginning of the end for the ordinary people of Ireland.

This takeover began two years ago with the intervention of the Central Bank.

They came in under the pretence of helping. Now the poor person’s bank (credit union) where we, the ordinary people, could decide what to do with our own money, will soon be gone. The Government will have sole control of our savings, which, in turn, will result in more taxation. This Government is hell-bent on achieving their own goals, whatever the cost to you and I. Impoverished and downtrodden people are unable and afraid to make a stand.
