Murray’s strength - Support each other
RTÉ radio presenter John Murray did so yesterday when he returned to the airwaves after an absence of six months.
Cork hurler Conor Cusack did likewise, describing his moments of despair as akin to being on a life support machine.
These two fragile yet fierce spirits deserve our thanks not just for sharing their pain but for giving hope to those countless others with a similar affliction.
Murray described the hundreds of people who sent him good wishes as his “secret weapon” on the road to recovery. Cusack spoke and wrote about the healing hand of friendship among his GAA comrades in Cloyne.
It’s true what they say — love conquers all.
