Cycleway refusal needs a rethink
It has refused permission for Kerry County Council to proceed with improvements to N86, a scenic but dilapidated route from Tralee to Dingle that has been earmarked for a €65 million upgrade.
The new road layout was to have included a cycleway along its 28km length. It would be separated by a grass verge to provide a safe way for cyclists to enjoy the beauty of the countryside without having to compete with motorised traffic.
