What about human cost of alcohol abuse?

The talk about Alcohol Strategy from Conor Cullen of Alcohol Action Ireland irks me a little.

As a man that put his family through hell because of my love of drink, I know what it can do.

I am sober now for 36 years, but it is only people like me that know what alcohol can do to families. All this talk about cost, what about the human suffering?

Let people like me say what needs to be said about alcohol, not people that never had a drink in their life. Suicide is the same, the wrong people are talking. I know for I have been down that very dark and lonely road.
