Syria bombing will be disastrous

The likely military bombardment of Syria will kill and injure many innocent people, and have disastrous long-term consequences.

The bombardment will be justified as the prevention of greater ‘evil’, and to ‘punish’ the Syrian regime. Even the flawed ‘just war theory’ insists that any such attack should be justified, have a likely chance of success, and be proportionate. Justification hinges on the allegations that the Syrian regime carried out chemical weapons attacks.

While this is likely, it is possible that Syrian rebels were responsible, to provoke a Western military response.
