Smelly refuse bins

I would like to add my concerns regarding the brown ‘food’ bins issued to us.

Our experience was that the bluest of blue bottles appeared and stayed in our back yard around these brown bins. We were afraid to open them. I called the company who issued them to express our concern. The lady explained that it was a new European directive and they had received very few complaints.

I explained about the flies, maggots, smells and health and safety issues associated with same. We stopped our grandchildren from playing out the back, I told her. After four minutes I was cut off.
