Pat takes a gamble

I understand why Pat Kenny made the big jump in the autumn of his years.

It is not a money consideration. He is financially comfortable, his personality and talent established nationally and his family reared.

What we fail to remember, the presenter worked a lifetime in the same environment, under the same guidelines, disciplines and people to achieve a reward he was entitled to ending his career — but to him, mentally, still not adequately satisfying.
