Expensive GAA tickets excluding many fans

The Cork–Dublin hurling semi-final was thoroughly enjoyed by those who, like myself, made the trip to the capital.

But the GAA needs to bring down the price of entrance if it’s interested in ensuring that people on low incomes can afford to attend the big games.

German soccer supporters pay around e15 to watch the likes of Bayern Munich, whereas most of us at Croke Park on Sunday paid e40 to watch a game in which the players were not being paid a wage.
