Enda not just talking the talk in Glenties

I listened to Enda Kenny at the opening of the Macgill Summer School in Glenties, recently and was pleasantly surprised and impressed.

Enda not just talking the talk in Glenties

This praising has nothing, whatsoever, to do with my political persuasion. It’s just that his talk was excellent, about the many difficulties facing the country and how his government are doing their best to deal with same.

On a personal note, and something I should have done at Macgill, I would like to congratulate him on his apology, in the Dáil on Feb 19, to the wonderful Magdalene women.

This was a real first for this country, and gives us all hope, that the powers that be, will, at last, care for the most vulnerable in our society. I only hope he can do something to make these religious orders pay their share of compensation to the women, and ease the burden on the taxpayer. Maybe an email to the new boss in Rome?
