No-one strong enough to stand up for ’ordinary’ man

I am compelled to write, because of the sheer contempt I have for past and present governments.

Not one politician in Fine Gael or Labour is ‘man or woman enough’ to stand up for ordinary people.

It is painful to see: when these people are elected, their priority is to get as much money out of the feeding trough as they can, and to hell with the rest of us, while the numbers of people dependent on St Vincent de Paul and on other charities is spiralling out of control.

But the most worrying is the number of suicides. Few families in Ireland have not been touched by this terrible, sad tragedy.

But the Government could not care less.

They are too far removed from reality. In Egypt, the president and his side-kick were removed from office for making false promises to the people.

Fine Gael and Labour made nothing but false promises to the Irish people, yet they have not been thrown out of office.

Instead, they have given themselves a hefty pay rise. Yet, we, the people, have taken all the crap and we are still taking it.

One can only conclude that the water supply, which has been medicated for many years, has made the majority of Irish people docile.

This government will never means-test the rich, because that would include themselves.
