The Government never had any morals

The letter “Government has lost moral authority” (Jul 16) is correct, except on one point.

The Government never had any morals, and especially regarding the most vulnerable people in our society, cancer patients.

During the election in the north-west —Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, North Roscommon, Mayo — the candidates conned cancer patients and the electorate, saying they would return cancer services to Sligo General Hospital, and would do this within 100 days of taking office.
