Robinson backing wrong theory

In the aftermath of the recent conference in Dublin it is evident Mary Robinson has co-opted Al Gore and the theory of catastrophic antropogenic climate change, aka man-made global warming, to her well intentioned campaign to obtain support for peoples who attempt to cultivate agriculturally marginal and non-viable lands, and for others whose land is subject to flooding by rising, relative sea level.

Robinson backing wrong theory

However, 8,000 years ago, during the Holocene climatic optimum when global average temperature was higher than it is now, large areas of desert and Sahel lands were savannah, plentifully watered, and supported a thriving human population.

Sea levels started to rise in 1850 and have continued to rise at the same rate of 2.75 cm/century ever since. These changes were indeed the result of climate change, but neither of the phenomena were caused by anthropogenic CO2 emissions because they were absent or insignificant at the relevant times.
