Don’t be blackmailed

As much as I feel for Praveen Halappanavar’s loss, Ireland should not be blackmailed into introducing abortion-on-demand just because abortion is a cultural norm in Mr Halappanavar’s home country.

Our cultural tradition is that we uphold the right to life of both mother and child in pregnancy.

One is no more dispensable than the other, and this is how it should be.
