The best way to change perceptions is to allow young people to freely meet other cultural groups and exchange ideas and viewpoints. After all, young Palestinians attend Israeli Universities, have positions as lecturers, and teachers in the schools. Sadly, the same cannot be said for universities in the West Bank and Gaza, where even Christians face an uncertain future. President Abass has declared that a future Palestinian state will not allow any Jews to live there, ensuring no Jewish university lecturers, or students ever hold positions of authority in their educational system, which at present sows the seeds of hatred towards Jews in its curriculum.
