Ongoing assessment

I agree with Cataldo Litta (Letters, March 16) when he says that interfering with our secondary school exam system and replacing it with an ongoing teacher assessment system will subject teachers “to menaces, requests of favouritism” and “mafioso behaviour”.

Ongoing assessment

The present system is not perfect but it is fair and independent. Ongoing assessment, through no fault of the teachers, will be neither.
