Time for hurling youth to have a chance

I do not agree at all with Séan Óg Ó hÁlpin’s story (Feb 26).

Let’s face it, Sean Ó had his day and so did so many more have theirs. He was good in his day but he is moving on now and you can’t expect anyone to be as fit and alert as they were five or ten years ago.

It’s about time that there was fresh young talent brought into the Cork team. What’s the point in playing the same players all the time? Give youth a chance. Sean, you have plenty of experience to offer to the young talent which I’m sure they would be thankful for. The old saying is ‘Old hurlers never die. They just fade away.’ True or false?
