Irish aid, Irish-made

Unlike many other countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, Portugal, etc., who insist the bulk of their overseas aid to needy countries must be used to purchase goods from manufacturing agents in donors country.

So it’s time Ireland did the same. For example, Ireland has pledged e7m to help Syrian refugees.

This money could be used to purchase tents, blankets, heaters, food, etc., from Irish industries.
