Donohoe funeral unearths bitter political dissension

THE icy winds that swept over St Mary’s graveyard as murdered garda Adrian Donohoe was laid to rest sent a chill through national life.

The ‘shadow’ of the slain detective fell heavily across disparate areas of the body politic, from Sinn Féin’s suitability for coalition government to the mass closure of garda stations.
