Political treachery

Benedict Arnold (a general in the American colonial army who defected to the British for monetary reward) is a name synonymous, throughout the world, with an act of treachery.

I would suggest that all members of the Oireachtas who supported the recent budget have merited the title “Benedict Arnold”.

Their actions, in my opinion, constitute an act of treachery against the People of Ireland. Let us hope the electorate will remember these acts when the next elections take place.
