Discourtesy to opposition

Bad as the content of the budget was, I was also appalled at the behaviour of the Taoiseach and Tánaiste when the opposition spokespersons were responding to the budget speech.

Discourtesy to opposition

While these spokespersons were outlining the suffering of their constituents, about which the Government claims it cares, Kenny and Gilmore sat in their seats and pointedly ignored everything.

They pretended to be reading, jotting notes, even texting on a mobile, and maintained an almost smirking, almost insolent, attitude. It was the most unpleasant, inappropriate and downright unprofessional behaviour I have ever seen in a long time.
