Political pragmatism

I read your article on stroke politics (Nov 26) and suggest you re-examine your own pragmatism.

James Reilly should have stepped down months ago for a variety of reasons and news regarding last-minute changes in the primary care list is not the first sign that he is not a suitable person to be Minister for Health.

Regarding whether Micheál Martin should have spoken out about mistakes and wrongdoing when FF were in government, I suggest you might consider the enormous elephant in the room regarding FG’s performance in opposition in terms of economic policy before you pick on individuals who are doing a far better job in opposition than FG ever did.
