Comings and goings

There has been a lot of talk and fuss about The Gathering or, as I call it, the ‘Spend thousands to come home, go on the piss for a few weeks, and then feck off back to wherever you came from’ event.

Comings and goings

As hundreds and thousands arrive for this fantastic event and brush past the hundreds and thousands leaving home in the opposite way, I wonder if they will have similar events or welcomes for them.

I checked what the opposite of Gathering is and the following words popped up: seclusion, dismantlement, solitude, loneliness and dispersion.

But on the bright side, I’m sure a lot of these leaving will return for the next gathering in 20 years.
