Favouring the brave

As usual, the public rarely even come into the thoughts of our ruling class except at election time.

Favouring the brave

Why is it that gardaí get such special treatment (earlier this week) because a few of them were brave? What did they imagine they were becoming gardaí for — to write parking tickets? Secondly. what about the ordinary members of the public who helped me, as the victim of an armed robbery a couple of years ago when the gardaí didn’t turn up for an hour?

I don’t recall any of those great men getting even a thank you letter from the Government. But why would I even imagine that our system has any interest in decent taxpayers except to pay for their blunderings?
