Favouring the brave
Why is it that gardaà get such special treatment (earlier this week) because a few of them were brave? What did they imagine they were becoming gardaà for — to write parking tickets? Secondly. what about the ordinary members of the public who helped me, as the victim of an armed robbery a couple of years ago when the gardaà didn’t turn up for an hour?
I don’t recall any of those great men getting even a thank you letter from the Government. But why would I even imagine that our system has any interest in decent taxpayers except to pay for their blunderings?
