Latest O’Leary stunt a waste of space

I am rather confused about O’Leary’s latest stunt. His aircraft were obviously designed as passenger-luggage combies — passengers on top and luggage below. What happens to all of that wasted space below deck?

Latest O’Leary stunt a waste of space

Surely O’Leary should be ashamed of burning millions of litres of fuel on a regular basis carting around untold cubic metres of fresh air?

I wonder what the proportion is between hand and hold luggage on conventional airlines, as opposed to O’Leary’s pack ’em in set-up?

I must admit that as a Manchester United supporter I am biased against the shirt-burning O’Leary and delighted that Emirates can now fly into Dublin from Harare via a stopover in Dubai, including a €25 hotel put-up rather than being subjected to ‘sardine scareways’, aka Ryanair.

Any suggestions for filling up the lower deck? I was going to suggest carting around O’Leary’s flash-in-the-pan Man City supporters, but obviously they would only make up less than 10% of his total wasted space.
