Respecting people

Enda Kenny has said “the people have spoken” when referring to the referendum vote.

Respecting people

I would ask Enda “what about the 66% of people who did not vote?” 66% not voting certainly sends a message also. Of the 33% who voted less than 60% voted ‘yes’. I would say the people have certainly voted but not in the context referred to by Enda Kenny.

If he is so respectful of the voice of the people, then why were the people not given a voice with the bank bailout scheme or banker’s emoluments? Double standards, Enda?
