Mr Kenny turned his back on former finance minister Brian Lenihan on the same issue, so why does he think the Germans are going to change their stance now, just because he is the Taoiseach and austerity enthusiast Michael Noonan is Minister for Finance? Kenny and Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore turned their back while the ECB exceeded their mandate and bullied the previous Irish government.
