‘Final battle’ for food control is starting

European consumers are worldwide considered the most rebellious opponents to GM food.

It now looks like there is a planned, coordinated international campaign unfolding with the aim of discrediting the case for organic food and farming as this has obviously been identified as the one to crack.

I hope that this “final battle” for food control will have the effect of mobilising all consumers, farmers, restaurateurs, food processors and food lovers for whom the organic movement and all it stands for is important.

If we are now not prepared to protect what is close to our heart and what we believe in, what lies ahead looks quite daunting.

May I ask all to whom the future of our food is important to raise their voice — independently or through their organisations — and team up in order to make our voice heard.
