Contradictory Labour policy on Seanad

It beggars belief that, at a time when a Government in which their party is a partner is cutting homecare hours, etc, a group of Labour deputies have declared their opposition to the abolition of the Seanad, which is, in fact, Labour policy, not out of any regard for the Seanad, but because, despite the expense involved, they want to maintain the Seanad as an insurance policy lest they lose their Dáil seats!

Contradictory Labour policy on Seanad

This from a group of bozos who have arranged a cosy redundancy deal under which, should they lose their seats, they continue to be paid for six months.

I can only hope that this may be seen as being so outrageous as to drive Labour grassroots and the electorate at large to revolution and demand change in the whole cushy Oireachtas system.
