Paying peanuts

That well-worn saying “If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys”, does not seem to apply in Ireland.

We have the best paid university administrators and professors in the EU and not one of these institutions is in the world’s top 100.

Our higher echelon public servants, judges, etc are also amongst the best remunerated. !
