You can’t always bank on getting money

Last week, I went into a Bank of Ireland branch for the change of a €50 note.

I was hoping to get it in two €20 and one €10 notes.

The nice teller inside the counter was just about to hand it out to me, but when I was asked where my account was now, and I said it was with Allied Irish Bank (AIB), there was no way I was going to get my change.
