HSE a disaster from the start
From their inception they have been a complete disaster.
Hardly a month passes and we are confronted with further cock-ups due to downright bad management on the part of the HSE.
As this recent report shows. and the dogs on the streets know, the HSE are responsible, over the years, for the deaths and misery of hundreds of children under their care.
Most of these children are from poor families, many single parents, so, in the eyes of the HSE and indeed the State, they are not important.
Will any members of the HSE be held accountable? Of course not ....this is Ireland of the nod and wink culture.
Fergus Finlay, on the Vincent Browne show, pointed out how, in Ireland, over 100,000 children are going to bed hungry every night — even during the Celtic Tiger years. Browne spoke how this FG/Labour Government made matters even worse by reducing Social Welfare, Childrens’ Allowance and introduced all of the other cuts, plus extra taxes on the less well-off.
When I hear Government ministers saying things like, ‘we must protect our children’, ‘children are our future’, ‘we must protect the most vulnerable in our society’ I feel like being sick as I find such utterances so hollow and insincere.
Shame on all of you.
