Newspapers and collateral damage

We have all heard military use of the word “collateral damage” to mask damaging events.

Now we have Johnston Press come up with the term “editorship clusters” to hide the sacking of editorial staff and the closing of some local newspapers, with the rest to be run remotely from unnamed locations — not necessarily in this country.
