Just when we thought that the fallout from the infamous Frontline Presidential debate had been put to bed, up pops Pat Kenny to effectively belittle comments made by Sean Gallagher regarding the ungracious response by RTE to his legitimate complaints regarding elements of the programme.

Mr Kenny is perhaps not the best qualified to jump to RTE“s defence in this particular instance.

He was the chairman on that particular night, and the key criterion for a chairman is impartiality. Yet Mr Kenny referred beforehand to this programme as being a “game changer“, allowed Martin McGuinness to set the full agenda for the night, (who remembers any other issue other than the Gallagher one being debated on the night?) and did not pose one single question to Michael D.
